Join the London Ambulance Service for the London Life Hike, our feel‑good fundraising challenge that brings people together to support lifesaving skills across the city. By taking part, you’ll help us teach more Londoners how to perform CPR and make sure public‑access defibrillators are available when they’re needed most. Every mile you walk fuels our London Heart Starters Campaign, helping communities feel confident, prepared, and empowered to save a life. For more information follow the links below: London Heart Starters - defibs at the heart of every community Become a London Lifesaver - London Ambulance Service NHS Trust Support our 2026 walkers Event details: Who: Individuals, families, and teams What: Complete a 6km or 21km hike through London When: Saturday 26 September 2026 (11am start for 21 km, 1pm start for 6km) Where: Southwark Park Bandstand (start and end) Why: To save lives through CPR training and installing community public-access defibrillators Fundraising Pledge: We ask all adult participants to fundraise for the cause Cost: £10 Early Bird Registration Fee (adult) (£15 Standard Registration Fee adult), £5 (child 6-18), £25 (family - 2 adults, 2 children), £0 (under 5's) What's on at our event village? Where your support goes The London Life hike raises funds for the London Heart Starters campaign. This campaign will install an additional 200 public-access defibrillators in unlocked cabinets where they are needed most. Our campaign uses a data-driven approach to identify defib deserts, small communities across the capital that have little to no defibrillators available to help save the life of someone having a cardiac arrest. We will fill this void, with your help. We pledge to work with communities to identify defibrillator guardians, install public-access defibrillators, and ensure community members are trained in the life-saving skills of CPR and feel confident to use a defibrillator.
