Play the lottery in support of London Ambulance Charity

Make a smile lottery is a weekly fundraising lottery. A fun and exciting way to help London Ambulance Charity raise vital funds that will secure our future.

It only costs £1 per play, and you can choose to play every week or whenever you feel like taking a chance and doing something good.

London Ambulance Charity has joined Make a Smile Lottery to help raise funds to support staff, volunteers and ultimately the patients of LAS. Draws take place every Friday. All of the money raised from the lottery will go towards improving the health and wellbeing of the staff and volunteers of the London Ambulance Service.

How to play our lottery

It costs £1 per game and you choose which cause you want to support. There are lots of different options to play:

  • Set up a subscription to play and pay by Direct Debit. With this option you will be given a unique 6 digit number. By setting up a regular Direct Debit with us, you will be giving your chosen cause a regular and reliable income.
  • Pay by card for a set period of weeks in the draw, select how many entries you would like to play per week. With this option you will be given a different unique number each week. 
  • Play whenever you want to, by purchasing a single ticket. 

Please note, your play numbers will be sent to you on completion of payment.

Make a Smile Lottery allocates you a unique lottery play number for each draw you have paid to enter.

Prizes

    Each week you could be in the chance to win one of 282 guaranteed cash prizes that are up for grabs!

    1 x £1000, 1 x £200, 10 x £10, and 270 x £5, plus a rollover of £500, that if not won each week rolls over to a maximum of £25,000.

    Our regular lottery players on the £5 subscription (providing they make all the scheduled payments) will accumulate approximately 7-8 extra entries (in a full calendar year) for the December Super Draw where they will have a chance to win an additional £5,000 on top of all the other draw prizes that week. You can also try your luck by purchasing additional Single Tickets to increase your odds of winning even more!

    How make a smile lottery works

    One play in the weekly draw is £1. You can purchase multiple plays if you wish.

    You will be allocated a unique lottery number.

    Your number(s) will be entered into the draw each week, you can also purchase additional Single Tickets to increase your chances of winning.

    You will be sent a notification should you win, and your winnings will be transferred into your lottery account. You will have to sign up for a lottery account to withdraw your winning funds. If you don’t have an email, a cheque will be posted to the address we have for you, so please make sure that we have your updated address.

    You must be 18 or over to join make a smile lottery.

    Direct Debit – You can set a subscription to play every week and pay by a monthly direct debit. To play 1 number each week it costs £5 per month, 2 numbers per week would cost £10, and 3 numbers per week would cost £15. The additional pence from your subscription will build up over the year and enable any supporters who have built up enough credit to be entered onto our Super Draw where you will have the chance of winning an additional £5,000! (Average of 7-8 tickets can be accrued in a full calendar year.)

    Debit Card – You can pay by debit card to purchase one off tickets, or tickets for multiple week entries each week, charged all at once. 

    Cheque- You can play by cheque. This can be done quarterly for £15, bi-annually for £30 or annually for £60. 

    Single Tickets - You don’t have to play every week; you can play any draw you feel like by purchasing Single Tickets. Whether you are feeling lucky and want to increase your chances of winning, or simply want to give a little something back to the hospice of your choice. You can also purchase tickets for the Super Draw to increase your chances of winning the top prize.

    As we are a lottery, we don’t accept credit cards.

    Online Account

    You can set up an online lottery account where you can take control of your lottery membership.

    Having an online account means you can:

    • Manage your online ticket purchases.
    • Find your play numbers.
    • Update your personal details & marketing preferences.
    • View previous transactions and tickets.
    • Withdraw winnings into your bank account or donate to your chosen charity!

    Single Tickets

    Whether you're a long-term supporter and feel like increasing your chances of winning or you're just feeling lucky, you can purchase Single Tickets for just £1 per play.

    The draw usually takes place every Friday (with exception when the Friday is a Bank Holiday, when it will take place the next working day) - Please check the countdown on the website for the specific cut off time for the weekly draw. If you purchase after this time, you will be entered into the following week’s draw.
