In loving memory of her father-in-law, Neepa Vadgama, Head of Finance Systems and Analytics at Newline Group nominated the London Ambulance Charity to receive a generous donation from the Odessy Group Foundation. 

Neepa’s father-in-law’s resilience in adapting to life after losing his sight at a young age, continuing to work, use technology / computer, and maintain close relationships, made him an inspiration for future generations.

In this last year, his health deteriorated and London Ambulance Service paramedics were called to his residence several times.

Neepa shared, “The teams were there for my father-in-law and the family day and night. We were impressed by how quickly they responded, often arriving at his house before the family came. This reassured us all that LAS paramedics were looking after him. They always had such a calm and patient demeanour with him and we found that really comforting as family.” 

Unfortunately, Neepa’s father-in-law passed away last year; however, the emotional and passionate story about the care he received from LAS led Neepa to nominate the London Ambulance Charity to receive a year-end gift from Newline Group as part of the Odessy Group Foundation.

The foundation was able to make a generous £3,000 gift to the charity, and we are exploring other ways in which we can partner with them for the year. This incredible funding will help save lives by funding defibrillators and CPR training for local communities and support frontline crews when they need wellbeing support.
